23-March 2025
Oyo-parent Oravel Stays is accelerating the expansion of its premium brand, SUNDAY Hotels, with plans to scale up to 100 properties globally by the end of the next financial year.
Currently operating in 10 countries—including India, the UK, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Bahrain, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam—SUNDAY Hotels offers a curated selection of four-star and five-star accommodations.
Launched in May 2023 as a joint venture between SoftBank Group and Oravel Stays, the brand is part of Oravel’s strategy to expand its premium hotel footprint worldwide.
In India, SUNDAY Hotels debuted in Jaipur and has since expanded into key business and leisure destinations, including Vadodara, Chandigarh, and Gurugram.
Oravel Stays currently operates 13 SUNDAY Hotels across India.
“There are 30 SUNDAY Collection hotels open across 10 countries, including India, and OYO plans to accelerate expansion in FY26, aiming to reach 100 hotels globally,” an Oravel spokesperson told PTI.
The global expansion of SUNDAY Hotels began in August 2024 with the launch of SUNDAY Holiday International Hotel in Dubai, followed by SUNDAY Lansbury Heritage Hotel in the UK.
“The rapid growth of SUNDAY Hotels in key markets is driven by strong consumer demand and strategic partnerships,” the spokesperson added.
