About Company

National Commodity & Derivatives Exchange Limited (NCDEX) is India’s leading agricultural commodity exchange and offers a state-of-the-art platform for commodity futures and derivatives trading. NCDEX is an online multi commodity exchange with physical presence at Mumbai. NCDEX, established in the year 2003 and regulated by SEBI, is instrumental in price discovery, risk management and transparent trading of agricultural commodities like soybean, mustard seed, chana, jeera, coriander, cottonseed oilcake and many other agri-products. The exchange is mainly for farmers, traders, processors, exporters, agri-businesses and institutional players and operates through its national electronic trading infrastructure and authorized storage network.

NCDEX has become an important institution in the Indian agricultural ecosystem providing efficient hedging mechanisms and improving transparency in commodity trading. The exchange also offers clearing, settlement, delivery and warehouse receipt backed trading services through its subsidiary NCCL, in addition to futures and options. Through continuous investments in technology and market infrastructure, NCDEX has been able to enhance participation in India’s structured commodity markets.

NCDEX has forayed into non-agricultural commodities in recent years in a bid to drive innovation and diversity in the financial markets of India. The exchange has received in-principle approval of SEBI to commence operations in shares and equity derivatives, which will open new avenues for business development. Further cementing its reputation as an innovative financial market infrastructure provider, NCDEX also launched in 2026 the “RAINMUMBAI” – India’s first ever exchange-traded weather derivatives contract to help companies hedge financial risks arising from monsoon rains.
